Sony Ericsson Canada to launch W705 “within 3 months”

se-w705-comingsoonimage2Now that we got all excited for the Sony Ericsson Idou (this is the impressive 12.1 megapixel touchscreen that was announced at the MWC in Barcelona)… I found that us Canadians can be somewhat thrilled about: the W705 will be launching soon.

According to Sony Ericsson Canada’s website: “The W705 is expected to be available within 3 months*” and will be available at Rogers. A couple weeks ago Sony Ericsson also revealed that we will see the X1a, C905a and T303… but as we all know, the term “Coming Soon” is somewhat used lightly.

The W705 will come in “Luxury Silver” and “Passionate Red” and is a slider Walkman phone that has “Wi-Fi and HSUPA turbo 3G”, a 2.4″ QVGA display, 3.2 MP camera, FM radio, Shake control, Sense Me, Play Now, 120 MB of internal memory, expandable memory for up to 4GB.

    1. Can you please also comment if and when Sony Ericsson ” idou ” will be available in Canada? Will Rogers be having it? Thanks.

    2. I think that Rogers is smart. They are getting practical phones that people will want and can afford.
