Google’s April Pixel update is now rolling out to devices running Android 16 starting today, and will roll out over the next week in phases. The handset is coming to Pixel 6 smartphones and newer.
The update doesn’t bring any new updates like the March Pixel Drop; we don’t expect the next Pixel Drop until June. However, this update should come with some fixes. These vulnerabilities range from high to critical.
Here are the fixes:
Apps
- Fix for an issue where the Backup menu was missing from System settings in certain conditions
- Fix for an issue that causes certain banking and third-party apps to crash in certain conditions
Display & Graphics
- Fix for some games to crash in certain conditions
User Interface
- Fix for an issue where the quick search bar is sometimes missing from the home screen in certain conditions
WiFi
- Fix for Quick Share to crash during file transfers in certain conditions
