2025 Game Awards will stream for free on Prime Video

You can also catch the show on Twitch

Unlike past years, where the show aired on YouTube and Twitch, this year Geoff Keiley’s Game Awards will broadcast via Amazon Prime Video and Twitch. But don’t worry, it will still be free to watch for all. However, I will point out that Amazon owns Twitch.

Alongside the awards, there will also be tons of game trailers, and the latest press release promises major new game announcements and musical performances, which should make for an entertaining show.

“With the upcoming launch of Fallout Season 2 and an exciting slate of game adaptations, Prime Video is a natural home for our show. We’re honored to have Amazon stand alongside so many other entertainment technology companies as partners to our show,” says Geoff Keighley in the press release.

On Twitch, the show airs at 1440p for the first time ever, and you will get the opportunity to get a limited edition TGA badge for your profile. There is no mention of what quality the stream will be on Prime Video. However, Amazon is planning to set up a Game Awards shop to offer exclusive video game sales on the night of the show.

The release specifically says, “during the live broadcast, viewers can expect Prime-exclusive, limited-time deals across nominated games, new releases, hardware and more, revealed in real time—available only at amazon.com/thegameawards and running for up to 24 hours, while supplies last.”

It airs on December 11 from 5-8pm PT and 8-11pm ET. Like most years, the awards are set to honour the best games of the year across the following categories.

  • Game of The Year
