This time around, the new site will improve connectivity in the Earlscourt, Carleton Village and Stockyards communities

Bell has upgraded its wireless service in another part of Toronto as part of the company’s ongoing network densification program.

In an email to MobileSyrup, Bell said it completed construction of and put into service a new wireless site that will “help enhance network capacity and performance in the Earlscourt, Carleton Village and Stockyards communities” in Toronto.

Bell says the upgrade will support the connectivity needs of residents, businesses, and visitors in these neighbourhoods.

“As wireless usage continues to increase, Bell is making targeted investments to add capacity and improve network performance in areas where demand is growing.”

The upgrade is part of a larger wireless network expansion and densification program that aims to strengthen Bell’s wireless network across Canada.

Previously, as part of this program, Bell added a new wireless site in Roncesvalles Village in Toronto and shared images of other upgrades in Ontario and Quebec.

The program started in 2024 and, as of May of this year, has seen Bell add 167 new wireless sites in 76 communities across the country, as well as enhance 349 existing sites in 50 communities. Bell says its workers have spent a combined 600,000 labour hours planning and installing upgrades and towers.

We also recently reported on Bell’s effort to bring better service to Orilla, Ont., which included partnering with a local church to use its land for a new wireless tower. Elsewhere, Bell brought fibre internet to remote island communities in Nova Scotia.
