Global has added Chromecast support for its Global Go app.
“We continue to strive for seamless and convenient distribution of our Global Go app so our audiences can watch our hit programs on the screen of their choice from the platform the choose,” said Maria Hale, senior vice president of Global Entertainment.
Global Go is the first of Corus’ apps suite to support Chromecast for both livestreams and on-demand content. Cast is supported from any iOS or Android device and includes all versions of Google’s Chromecast and Chromecast-enabled TVs.
Users are able to Cast content using the app by tapping the ‘Cast’ icon in the app and selecting their television.
Viewers can use the Go app to stream the network’s original and acquired series, full length episodes, clips and exclusives. Thei mobile device then acts as a remote, giving playback and volume controls right at their fingertips.
Global Go is also available for Apple TV. Global Television is a Corus Entertainment Network.
