Canadians can order the laptop online through the Microsoft Store in any of its four colour options — ‘Platinum,’ ‘Burgundy,’ ‘Graphite Gold’ or ‘Cobalt Blue.’
The ‘Platinum’ colour variant comes in four different configuration options: stocked with the Intel Core i5 and either 4GB RAM/128GB storage or 8GB RAM/256GB storage, or stocked with the Core i7 and either 8GB RAM/256GB storage or 16GB RAM/512GB storage.
Pricing ranges from$1,299 to $2,799 CAD.
‘Graphite Gold,’ ‘Burgundy’ and ‘Cobalt Blue’ all come in only the Core i5/8GB RAM/256GB storage version through Microsoft’s site.
The Surface Laptop was also supposed to hit Canadian retail stores in Alberta, B.C. and Ontario today, but store representatives note that the delivery was delayed and that the computers will hit the shelves beginning tomorrow, June 16th.
Best Buy Canada is also listing the laptop in ‘Platinum’ in three different configurations: Core i5/4GB RAM/128GB storage, Core i5/8GB RAM/256GB storage and Core i7/8GB RAM/256GB storage — though currently only the i5 configurations are available online, while no stock availability in stores is showing up yet.
Those three variants are also available through Staples Canada.
Meanwhile, the 2017 Surface Pro is available in variety of configurations based around the user’s choice of Intel’s Core m3, Core i5 or Core i7 processors and retails between $1,049 to $3,449 through Microsoft. Best Buy Canada and Staples are also stocking the new 2-in-1 in a more limited amount of configurations.
