Apple hiring software engineers to “bring exciting new mobile products” to Android

When Apple revealed Apple Music in June, it made the surprise announcement that it was preparing to ship an Android version of the app sometime this fall. The Cupertino-based company quickly followed up that news by announcing an Android app called Move to iOS, a utility that affords Android users an easy way to switch to iOS.

Apple may be planning to release even more apps on the Play store; a new posting on its job board seems to suggest the company plans to further embed itself within the Android community

First reported by 9to5Mac, Apple is seeking engineers to help it “bring exciting new mobile products to the Android platform.” See the posting below.

There is no indication of the specific apps Apple has in mind, but Apple insiders like Mark Gurman are speculating that the company could bring its iMessage platform to Google’s mobile operating system.
