Samsung expects record Galaxy S6 shipments

Samsung executives have hinted that pre-orders of the upcoming Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge are “really huge.” Previous reports indicated a respectable 20 million units for the two phones combined.

At a recent media event, Samsung head of mobile J.K. Shin spoke with Reuters, saying the company is expecting record shipments of the Galaxy S6. He warned that Samsung will not be “able to keep up with demand” for the Galaxy edge because the curved display is harder to manufacture.

Both flagship Android devices will be widely available tomorrow across Canada, at Rogers, Bell, Fido, TELUS, Koodo, SaskTel, Virgin, Wind Mobile, MTS and Videotron.
