Google has a tasty little treat for Nexus 7 users, just in time for the weekend. If you have either 2012 or 2013 Nexus 7 with WiFi+cellular connectivity, you can now download the system images for Android 5.0.2 directly from Google.
These images were published Friday afternoon and can be found over on Google’s official portal for developers. Google pushed this software out to users of the WiFi-only versions of the 2012 and 2013 Nexus 7 in December and mid-January, respectively.
If you’re not the type to go down the road of factory resetting your device to Android 5.0.2, then sit tight. The OTA update likely isn’t too far away. On the other hand, if flashing Lollipop onto your tablet sounds like your idea of the perfect weekend activity, you can get the files here.
