Popular third-party keyboard app Swype has had French language support for a very long time. Unfortunately for iPhone users in Quebec, Swype only featured support for standard French and not Canadian French.
That all changed this past weekend when Swype delivered something of a holiday miracle to iOS users. Now in version 1.2, this latest update brings support for Canadian French as well as Tagalog and Ukrainian.
Swype launched on Android in early 2013 but it didn’t hit iOS until Apple introduced support for third party keyboards with iOS 8 in the fall. Swype for iOS now supports more than 20 languages. The Android version has support for more than 70.
