Samsung GALAXY PRO Series tablets now up for pre-order at Best Buy and Future Shop

  • Desi Jatt

    Wow they pretty pricey.

    • Bri Bru

      Like all other Samsung devices

As much as I’d like the 12.2″ NotePRO tablet it’s too expensive for me personally. I’m sure it will do well in the Business/Enterprise Market, but I’m not sure how it will do in the Consumer/Educational space. For the money you can get some good laptop/Ultrabook choices. Also, Samsung really needs to open a full-on Retail store here in Toronto and other Canadian stores much like the Sony Store to full display their line of electronic products, especally unlocked phones/cellular-phone enabled tablets like their International Note 8 tablet.

Why not choose Surface Pro 2 over 12.2 Pro? Uhh…

    • Bri Bru

True, but surface pro is more of a computer than a tablet if you know what I mean. Personally, I woudnt spend $900 on a tablet but for a pc, yes.

  • Sam Wiggans

    I want that 8.4″ one :

    • Bri Bru

  • AM Radio

drop the notePRO by $100 and we can talk.

for the price of the middle one id get a Dell Venue 8 and have spare change. And I could run office and XBMC

    • aniym

Android has had XBMC for years now. The only functionality I’m missing is being able to play your video library on shuffle. Also, you’re comparing a 2560×1600 screen (on the Pro) to a 1280×800 screen on the DVP. Aside from that, yes, if you need a full PC, the Venue Pro is definitely one of the best mini tablets out there.

Not sure I like the “magazine UI”.
It looks way too much like windows 8.
It would be nice if they gave you a choice of the standard android interface vs their UI.
Also, yes WAY too much money.
It seems that Samsung is getting a bit “full of themselves” and think they can get away with this kind of pricing.
The market will decide what the market can bear.
    Wait for the discounts……

At least they are not skimping on specs like they usually do with their tablets. No one is going to buy the 12.2 Pro at this price, but the 10.1 and 8.4 are basically matching Apple’s prices. In six months, they’ll probably be $50 cheaper.
