Public Mobile enters distribution deal with Hasty Market

While we’re on the topic of new entrant Public Mobile, they have yet again expanded their distribution reach. This time it’s with 7 Hasty Market locations (6 in the Toronto area and 1 in Montreal).

Public has always stated that they will offer their services “in the same places where our customers live, work and play”. Apart from stand alone stores, finding distribution partners seems to be the way that Public Mobile will reach their core market. They recently launched 60 Gateway Newstands locations, partnered with Eyeshot Media for 4 convenience store locations, 5 Ultramar locations, have their products inside Loblaws “The Mobile Shop“ and have also set up a trial with Money Mart Canada.

There is still no official word on how many subscribers Public has brought on board. But at this rate they’ll be on every corner on the block. Next step for them will be the release of some sort of data device and plan.
