Microsoft Word is more successful on mobile than you’d probably guess.
The Google Play Store stats say that Word has been downloaded over 500 million times.
In contrast to that, Google Docs only has 100 million downloads.
To each their own, and Word is a really great word processor. A lot of Samsung phones also come with Word pre-installed so that could contribute to this number.
No other Microsoft apps even come close to this many downloads. Excel and Outlook are both over 100 million, while the Microsoft launcher and Xbox apps are around 10 million.
