Essential is already pushing out an over-the-air update with the May security patch.
This is an incredibly quick update from Essential considering that Google released the patch today for its Pixel and Nexus devices. Users should see the update notification starting today.

The update only contains the monthly security patch and is about 91.5 MB. It bumps the build number up to OPM1.180104.166.
Google typically releases these monthly patches on the first Monday of every month. The tech giant also stuck to this schedule despite Google I/O starting tomorrow and the likely impending release of Android P Developer Preview 2.
