Google Play Store launches new Indie Corner for games

App discoverability is a constant issue on all app marketplaces, but particularly so on the Google Play Store.

Over the past number of years, the search giant has attempted to address this issue by launching dedicated subsections of the Play Store that collect and curate apps around a single theme or topic.

The latest subsection to do so is the newly launched Indie Corner. Devoted to games from publishers like DevolverDigital, most famous for releasing the stylish but brutally violent Hotline Miami series, the section collects notable independently developed mobile games. The most prominent inclusion here is Downwell, which appeared on several best of lists last year, though there are other interesting picks like Barrier X, too.

Check out the section by visiting Google Play Store.
