The new toolkit means app developers will be able to use information about Uber rides to make better use of rider’s transportation time. Some examples of possible applications include: creating music playlists based on the length of the ride, a news synopsis based on the location and the duration of trip, or even tying into the rider’s thermostat to turn on their heat on their way home.
