Google Now starts showing cards for snow conditions at ski resorts

Pretty much the only good thing about this awful cold weather is the fact that it affords us the opportunity to hit the slopes. You might freeze your butt off waiting for the bus on Wednesday morning, but heading for the hills on a Saturday with your board or ski poles takes the sting out of the snow-laden commute.

Just in time for the fresh fallings of snow hitting the east, Google has launched a new card for Google Now that offers up-to-date information on current snow conditions at your favourite ski resorts.

Android Police reports that those close to ski resorts have started seeing updated information on snow conditions via a dedicated Google card that includes snow type, base depth, open trailers, open lifts, the current weather and the snow forecast. Readers have also confirmed that it shows cards for multiple resorts, not just the one closest to you.
