Canadian Roku users are heading into the winter with a raft of new content thanks to the addition of the Google Play Movies & TV app to the Roku Channel Store.
Roku announced the arrival of Google Play Movies & TV on Friday afternoon, confirming support for current generation Roku players released after June 2011. This includes the Roku 3, the Roku 2, the Roku 1, Roku Streaming Stick, Roku LT, Roku 2 HD, Roku 2 XD, Roku 2 XS, and Roku HD. The company says support for Roku TV users is coming soon but offered no indication as to when that might be.
Google Play Movies & Music is now available to users across the U.S., Canada, the UK, and Ireland.
