Google just updated its Android News & Weather app to version 2.0, adding touches of Material Design, and now the company has shifted focus to Apple’s mobile operating system.
The search giant today launched a Google News & Weather application for iOS users that offers news from more than 65,000 publications, as well as location-specific weather, and headlines from around the world. It’s available in 26 languages and offers 60 country-specific editions.
Android users are more than used to Google News & Weather but this is the first time Google has made the app available available for iPhone and iPad users. Currently in version 1.0, the app requires iOS 7.0 or later and is already optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus.
