The Sony Xperia M2 Aqua is a mid-range waterproof Android device that will be hitting Canadian soil on October 2nd. So far, we know that regional carrier Videotron will be launching it, but it’s also possible that Rogers, Fido and others will make it available.
According to our sources, Videotron will release the Xperia M2 Aqua for free on a 24-month term with a minimum monthly plan of $49.95.
As for specs, the LTE-enabled M2 Aqua’s main feature is that it’s waterproof up to a depth of 1.5 meters for one hour. The M2 Aqua sports a 4.8-inch qHD display (960×540 pixels), a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 chip, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP camera, 8 GB of onboard storage, and a 2300 mAh battery.
