Cab rider in Montreal or Toronto (or 100+ cities outside Canada)? Uber, the smartphone app for on-demand taxi, SUV or black car rides, has launched a new Android beta program.
The new version doesn’t do anything too differently, but Uber 3.0 looks shinier and runs a heck of a lot faster. It employs a left-side “hamburger” navigation bar and an overall flatter aesthetic.
If you’re a current Uber customer interested in trying out the new design, head to the company’s Google+ page and opt-in to the beta.
Just yesterday, Google announced it was partnering with Uber to provide alternate travel times for transit and walking directions inside the official Google Maps app.
