Flappy Birds-style games just won’t die. Coming to the foreground is a game from Rovio’s Level11 development team called RETRY. The 8-bit game focusses around and airplane, thankfully not a bird, and zips through different levels doing loop-de-loops with a goal to collect as many coins as possible. Some of the differences in the game is that you’re able to go backwards to score coins and RETRY includes moving walls — the object is to avoid crashing into the walls.
The description notes that “From the guys sitting in the room next to the guys who made Angry Birds, comes RETRY – a game so hard, so addictive, so old school that you’ll think you’ve stepped into an 8-bit time machine and gone back to 1986. Totally rad!” There is even a “BOOMING SYNTHESIZER SOUNDTRACK! Mega tunes for a mega game.”
This is reportedly only available in Canada, Poland and Finland and can be downloaded from the App Store at the link below.
