A few months ago Rogers and CIBC teamed up to launch the “Suretap” mobile payment system. This app is known in BlackBerry World as “CIBC Mobile Payment App” and allowed select BlackBerry smartphones the option to pay for items from their device. At the time the app was only compatible with the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Curve 9380, but on Twitter CIBC noted plans to expand the range and include BlackBerry 10 devices.
There’s no word on when it’ll be available, however, CIBC’s dev team is currently working on it and the “experience will be awesome.” CIBC previously noted that this NFC payment app will also be coming to Android and Windows Phone 8 users “in early 2013.″
