    That’s a whole lotta notifications!

I just try to image the network infrastructure that companies like Facebook and Google have in place in order to offer service to so many people, and how much that all costs.

    It boggles the mind.

It boggles the mind how much money they actually do make!

Meh. Google+ is far less bloated and with better group privacy controls (circles) from the start. Sort of how gmail is far better than almost every other bloated and complex mail service.

I expect google+ to be a serious contender to Facebook in a year.

It seems Google+ is already a serious contender. Of all the changes Facebook has made over the past few years, none have received such positive reviews as the most recent changes. I don’t think Facebook would have made such good improvements if they didn’t have Google+ breathing down their necks.

You hit the nail on the head. Facebook would have been doing the same old thing. Google has lit a fire under them but I think they are rolling out too much at once. It is going to start to get overloaded and too complicated for most folk. I left FB about a year ago because of their privacy issues (lack thereof) and really enjoy G+.

That aside, I think the 350 million is probably closer to the actual number of FB users out there since I know there are a number of people who have more than 1 FB account (I have/had 3 of them.)

Thank you for saying this, considering he calls his users “dumb f***”, look in your heart and see why you support this?

Zuck: Yeah so if you ever need info about anyone at Harvard

    Zuck: Just ask.

Zuck: I have over 4,000 emails, pictures, addresses, SNS

[Redacted Friend’s Name]: What? How’d you manage that one?

    Zuck: People just submitted it.

    Zuck: I don’t know why.

    Zuck: They “trust me”

    Zuck: Dumb fucks
