Facebook announced a slew of new services today: Music, Timeline and app updates. Mark Zuckerberg and the team also declared they have over 800 million active users with 50% coming on everyday. On average each of those 800 million users have 130 so called friends.
When it comes to mobile specific numbers, Facebook said 350 million every month are actively using the site through a mobile device, this represents almost 44% of users. In addition, this number has increased by 100 million since March. Still recognized as the world’s largest social networking site, Facebook also stated that “there are more than 475 mobile operators globally working to deploy and promote Facebook mobile products”. A prime example of this is the recently released HTC Status with a dedicated Facebook button.
