The OtterBox Defender Series for the BlackBerry Bold weighs in at 2 ounces and is a case that can take the hits, drops, dust and certainly keep your precious device from getting scratched. There are 3-layers of protection: a clear membrane piece, polycarbonate panels and a silicone cover. The case is easy to put together and only takes a minute. You will see when you open the box there are instructions on how to effectively and correctly put the case together.
Now with this said, you will notice that the plastic membrane (cover) will have several bubbles, all you have to do is take a credit card and smooth this out, or OtterBox suggests a dab of soap and water on top of the screen will make for a clear cover.
