LG Optimus LTE sales break the one million mark

LG announced this morning that their current flagship LTE handset – the LG Optimus LTE – has seen sales cross over the one million mark. In Canada, Bell has had an exclusive on the Optimus LTE since its release in November, but the device is also sold in 3 other counties: US, Japan and South Korea. The only specific numbers the company released for country breakdowns was that Korea had hit sales of 600,000 in 3 months, and that first day sales in Japan were 8,500. Nothing for Canada or the United States.

Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile, stated “With brisk sales for a high-end smartphone, the Optimus LTE reaffirms LG’s leadership in mobile LTE technology. The combination of LTE connectivity with LG’s True HD IPS display has resonated with the public regarding the potential of LTE technology.”
