I’ve only had the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max for a little over 24 hours, so it’s definitely not been enough time to write a review. So to hold you over until I’m done testing, I put together this camera comparison since some of the biggest upgrades this year are to the camera.
I took a quick trip over to High Park Zoo to grab some photos. If you’re looking to upgrade and are using an iPhone 15 Pro, or you’re considering levelling up after buying last year’s iPhone 17 Pro, here’s a comparison between these three devices. Also, not every photo was taken at High Park; I wanted some low-light photography included, and I didn’t want to stay at the park until late.
It’s worth mentioning that I haven’t really examined the photography yet; we took pictures just with the point-and-shoot aspect of the device and didn’t dive into the pro settings.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max go on sale tomorrow, September 18.
First, here are some shots I took with the iPhone 18 Pro.

iPhone 18 Pro vs iPhone 17 Pro
I have some quick thoughts. I can definitely tell the difference between the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro. The 18 Pro offers more detail; you can see that in the picture of the yak and in that low-light image of the garage. I also feel like the 18 Pro is more true-to-life in comparison to the 15 Pro.
I feel like the gap between the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro is less obvious. I liked having the ability to play around with variable aperture and get cool bokeh effects. Otherwise, the difference isn’t too noticeable, but I plan to explore more and put the 18 Pro through further tests. Stay tuned for a full review soon!
