City of Ottawa releases mayoral election app for iOS, Android, and Blackberry

As the City of Ottawa gears up for its 2014 elections, the municipal government has released a new elections application for major smartphone platforms. Vote Ottawa will offer users the latest in election information in the run up to the big day (October 27) while also providing a list of registered candidates, information on advance voting, unofficial election results, locations of polling stations, ward maps, and different ways to contact the election office.

The app is available for iOS, Android, and Blackberry (OS5+ and BB10) and is free to download. Windows Phone users appear to have been left out in the cold.
