Meta reveals third-gen Ray-Bans, Lisa collaboration

Meta unveiled the latest updates to its core Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses line-up during its Meta Connect keynote in California.

First off, the company announced the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3), which offers a slimmer design with nine hours of battery life (an hour more than Gen 2) and a customization action button for Meta AI. Further, a new 6-mic array reduces more than 90 per cent of background noise, while Dolby Atmos support has also been added. These third-gen glasses come in 27 colour and lens combinations, as well as two styles, the Zena and Aviator (pictured above), which join the existing Wayfarer model. The Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) start at $559 in Canada.

Additionally, the company revealed a new partnership with global KPop sensation Lisa. These new models sport a custom star on the case and temple tips, a special edition case inspired by Lisa’s pets (her “L-family”) and unique digital photocards. The glasses come in two models, Meta Adventurer Lisa Edition (a Moonlit Sky frame with Blush lenses) and the Meta Capri Lisa Edition (an Eclipse cat-eye frame with grey lenses). Both sets retail for $549 in Canada. It’s also worth noting that Meta is expanding its Ray-Ban collab with socialite Kylie Jenner to introduce a $549 “Starfire” style.

Other updates to the Ray-Ban Meta lineup include new limited-edition Fury (clear and mirrored) and Adventurer (black and grey) frames, new limited-time colours like seasonal Shiny Brick Brown and Shiny Transparent Ocean Blue on Blayzer Optics and more.
