Toys ‘R’ Us Canada has reached out to customers, letting them know of a data breach compromising personal information.

On Thursday morning, Toys ‘R’ Us Canada notified its customers in an email saying that it learned of a data breach on July 30. The breach may have included names, addresses, emails and phone numbers, according to a statement from Toys ‘R’ Us. However, the company announced that passwords, credit card details or similar confidential data weren’t exposed.

In its statement to customers, Toys ‘R’ Us said that cybersecurity discovered that the breachers copied records from the database, which contained personal information. Additionally, Toys ‘R’ Us says that there hasn’t been evidence that indicates this information has been misused for fraudulent reasons.
