LG will reportedly unveil the V40 ThinQ in early summer, late fall

LG V30

LG has reportedly once again changed its release schedule for the upcoming year.

While we already knew that the company had pushed back the reveal its new flagship G-series smartphone until May, the company will also reportedly release two new V-series handsets this year, as well, according to serial leaker Evan Blass.

Blass says that the V35 ThinQ will arrive around the same time as the G7 ThinQ. Since we know LG will unveil the G7 ThinQ on May 2nd, we can then assume, if the leak is accurate, that LG will announce the V35 ThinQ in late May, or sometime in June or early July.

Blass also claims that LG will announced the V40 ThinQ, codenamed Storm, in the late summer or early fall. A late summer or early fall unveiling is the norm for LG’s V-series, as in the past the company has announced all previous V-series handsets, except the V30S ThinQ, in the fall.

While rumours have been relatively quiet surrounding the V40, last week an alleged leak revealed the specs of the V35 ThinQ.

According to Android Headlines, the V35 ThinQ will feature a 6-inch QHD+ OLED display, with an 18:9 aspect ratio, dual rear camera setup sporting 16-megapixel sensors and a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC with an ESS Sabre 9228 chip.

While we’re starting to learn more about the LG’s 2018 flagships, leaks have been quiet surrounding the company’s Q and Stylo series.

LG typically reveals its Stylo series around April or May, with the focus on the G7 ThinQ and V35 ThinQ it’s possible that the LG Stylo 3 Plus was the company’s last in the series.
