Snapchat has released a few small updates to its mobile app and Lens Studio.
The mobile app’s update allows users to video chat with up to 16 people at the same time, as well as the ability to mention other users in captions by adding ‘@’ before their name.
The more significant update came to the platform’s Lens Studio, which is adding seven new face templates, integrated Giphy stickers and more creator support.
The new face templates are Face Paint, Distort, Photo, Trigger, 2D Objects, 3D Objects and a Baseball Cap. Users can check extended videos of each new lens in the Lens Studio on Snapchat’s YouTube channel
When creators build new Lenses there’s also a chance that Snapchat will highlight select Snaps that utilize the new Lenses in a Discover tile called ‘Top Lenses.”
The Giphy support lets creators search through the platform’s library of gifs and integrate them in lenses.
