Just in time for the long weekend, Apple has discounted the price of indie gem FTL: Faster than Light. The game is down 70 percent to $3.99 on the Canadian iTunes App Store.
Originally released on the PC back in 2012, FTL made its way to the iPad in 2014. The iOS version includes the game’s Advanced Edition expansion, which adds new ships, alien races, weapons and a story beats penned by Obsidian co-founder Chris Avellone.
FTL is considered one of the best games available on Apple’s tablet platform.
Subset Games, the two-man development studio behind FTL, announced their latest project, Into the Breach. It’s a tactics-like game that pits the remnants of humanity against a powerful alien race known as the Vek in a Pacific Rim-like scenario involving mechs from the future. Yeah, it sounds awesome.
