With Android Nougat rolling out on a number of recent Nexus devices, Android OEMs have started to share their 7.0 update plans. One of the first to do is Sony, which just released a list of the device it plans to update to the new operating system in the coming months.
In Canada, the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra and Xperia X Performance will all be updated to Android 7.0. In short, any Sony smartphone released prior to 2015 will not get the latest version of Android.
The company says it will share details on exact release timing at a later date.
