WhatsApp is no stranger to staggering milestones, and the Facebook-owned company just announced another one. As of today, the company’s more than 1 billion users make 100 million calls a day.
To put that number in perspective, WhatsApp says 100 million calls a day equates to over 1,100 calls every second.
When Facebook acquired WhatsApp in 2014 for $19-billion, the popular chat app had a relatively meager 450 million users.
