Earlier today, TD Canada Trust, BMO and Scotiabank joined RBC and CIBC in giving their customers the option to pay goods and services at stores with Apple Pay. A number of stragglers, specifically PC Financial and Tangerine, have still yet to support the platform.
PC Financial previously said it does not plan to support Apple Pay anytime soon, and when asked again today about its position the bank reaffirmed that position.
Tangerine, on the other hand, is singing a different tune today. Charaka Kithulegoda, chief information officer at Tangerine stated on Twitter, “It’s coming! We’re supporting Apple Pay and are working towards an end of July timeline.”
