App of the Week: ClearLock

ClearLock

If you’re like me, you sometimes suffer from bursts of chronic procrastination where, for whatever reason, being productive is the last thing on your mind. It’s during these moments that any bit of help is greatly appreciated. Enter ClearLock, an that promises to make your smartphone, an approximately five inch screen most of us look at way too much, a little less distracting.

The premise of ClearLock is simple. After giving it access to your system, ClearLock asks you to tell it what apps you want to block and for how long. Attempt to access a blocked app while ClearLock is active and ClearLock will close the app shortly after you click on its icon. If you desperately need to access an app, you can disable ClearLock by restarting your device. I’ve been using it for the past week to great effect.

Download ClearLock from the Google Play Store. It’s free to download, though a Pro version, priced at $2.24, adds two additional features, both of which are well worth the price of entry. The first allows the user to schedule ClearLock sessions, while the second adds a widget that makes it quicker to start the app.
