It’s been several months since Starbucks hinted at its plans to bring its mobile ordering service to Canada. Without much fanfare, the wait appears to be almost over.
The company announced today that its Mobile Order & Pay service will arrive at select Canadian Starbucks locations starting next month.
The feature allows Starbucks patrons to use the coffee shop’s mobile app to order a beverage or food item ahead of time. Paying for orders is still handled within the app, ensuring consumers only have to worry about how they’re going to get to the store.
When the service does launch, it will be available in both the iOS and Android apps. Good timing, too, because late last month Starbucks overhauled its Android app, giving it a coffee flavoured Material Design overhaul.
