One of the biggest Canadian events every year is the Calgary Stampede. This extravaganza starts today and is being dubbed as “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth!” There are a number of high profile entertainers, such as Shania Twain, Keith Urban, Paul Brandt, and you can also spend and afternoon with the legend himself William Shatner! As every year, a big parade and rodeo takes place and a plethora of food is present to fill your belly.
If you’re planning to attend the big show, then you probably want to download the official app. The Stampede has made this available on iOS, Android and BlackBerry — no word on Windows Phone — and each version gives you a full view of the schedule by day, time and events. In addition, there is also a map of Stampede Park that is outlined in various colours – this will help you muscle your way through the massive crowds.
