Apart from BlackBerry’s Super Bowl ad from 2013 and the Alicia Keys commercial, the Waterloo-based company has been relatively quiet on promoting their brand. However, now that new CEO John Chen has stepped in and decided to take the company back to its enterprise roots a new ad arrived on YouTube over the weekend that puts a bit more power into BlackBerry.
The “Powered by BlackBerry” is a quick look into the life of Dave Hopkinson, CCO at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE). Seems like BlackBerry is targeting high-profile execs, rather than celebrities, to get their message across. According to the video, Hopkinson says “his job demands connectivity and long productive days to stay competitive” and that’s why he apparently needs a device that can last “up to 25 hours of battery life.”
No indication of how many ‘Powered by BlackBerry’ commercials BlackBerry will unveil.
