Popular community-based navigation app Waze, which is now owned by Google, has over 70 million users and today they’ve updated both their Android app, with iPhone ‘coming soon.’ While the overall design and experience is the same, Waze has embedded the option for users to integrate their calendar into the app.
If there is an event in your calendar with location information, Waze will now automatically list directions in your navigation list. Of course, users must first opt-in and give Waze to access to their calendar events, and it’s just as easy to opt-out and disable integration from the phone’s settings menus.
