BMO set to update its mobile site for better compatibility with Windows Phone 8, others

The Bank of Montreal, also known as BMO, currently has dedicated mobile apps for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry. But for those users running Windows Phone 8, or older smartphones like BB7 or Symbian, the bank is set to overhaul its mobile site to alleviate some of the pain.

Currently, BMO’s mobile site is underwhelming and quite limited, but a new one is on the horizon, with a modern, native app-like design, built in HTML5. Features like checking account balances and activity, a GPS-based ATM and branch locator, are present, though it doesn’t check all the same boxes as its iOS and Android counterparts. At least, not yet.
