Facebook for Android updated with sharing, messaging improvements, Home gets a Favourites tray

Facebook for Android and its Home launcher counterpart have both received nice updates today, bringing memory optimizations, performance improvements and a number of minor features that are surely going to please avid users.

For starters, Messenger users can now send multiple photos to a recipient, though the workflow requires going through the selection process again each time. When sharing a status update or photo to the Timeline, users can now customize who can see it based on the social network’s granular privacy settings.

Facebook Home users are getting a nice new feature which was promised a few weeks back: as with any Android launcher, it’s now possible to pin four apps to the bottom Favourites tray for easy access (see above).

While certainly not the major revamp many users are looking for from Facebook, it’s a good start.
