Android 4.1 Jelly Bean changelog reveals some nice surprises

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean has now been released for the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7, and will be rolling out to the Nexus S in the coming weeks. Google has gone ahead and released a changelog detailing all the intricate updates that we may not have been privy to during the keynote.

There are some interesting additions, including improvements to Face Unlock, which now requires a user to at least blink so as not to be mistaken for a photo; and a networking setting that ensures you won’t automatically connect to poorly-performing  hotspots if you have WiFi turned out.

There are lots of other cool changes that you may be interested in reading about. My favourites are based around the new notification system as well as the offline voice input abilities. Everything else, including Butter, which ensures everything runs at 60fps, is just icing on the Jelly Bean.

Take a look at our hands-on with Jelly Bean if you haven’t already.
