FoxNext Games and Guardians of the Galaxy’s Dave Bautista team up for Marvel Strike Force charity initiative

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Developer FoxNext Games has announced a partnership with actor Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy) for a charity initiative inspired by its Marvel Strike Force mobile game.

Given that Strike Forces focuses on Marvel superheroes, FoxNext aims to support real life heroism with its new True Heroes campaign. As part of the initiative, FoxNext is highlighting Frankie’s Friends, a U.S.-based organization chosen by Bautista for its work in rescuing animals.

In 2017, Frankie’s Friends helped save the lives of over 2,600 pets suffering from life-threatening medical conditions in the U.S. Although the charity only operates in America, Canadians can get involved too by simply watching a one minute YouTube video.

In fact, FoxNext has pledged to donate up to $50,000 USD to Frankie’s Friends, depending on how many people view the below video featuring Bautista talking about the charity.

The True Heroes campaign comes two weeks after Marvel Strike Force launched on iOS or Android.

In the free-to-download mobile game, players will need to save the world by creating teams of popular Marvel characters, including Drax and his fellow Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Wolverine and Black Panther.

Bautista’s Drax, meanwhile, can next be seen in Avengers: Infinity War, which will hit theatres on April 27th.
