Bell reportedly offering $40/175GB CAN/US/MEX plan for new customers

The deal appears to be in-store only, but it knocks $45 off the regular price

If you’re in the market for a new phone plan, Bell’s in-store locations might have the offer you’re looking for.

A keen-eyed Reddit user spotted a Bell store at the Crystal Mall in Burnaby, B.C., advertising a $40/175GB Canada/U.S./Mexico plan for new customers only.

Now, it appears this is an in-store offer, as Bell’s website offers no information about a deal similar to this. In fact, the 175GB BYOP plan advertised on the website is still the $85/mo (with the autopay credit) that it normally is.

Interestingly, one Redditor shared that the deal was spotted at Wirelesswave at the Eaton Centre in Toronto, so it appears that Bell is spreading it to its affiliated locations as well, and that it’s not just that particular Bell store in B.C. Now, a few Redditors on the thread also noted that Rogers has been calling customers to offer a similar $40/175GB plan, but it only includes CAN/U.S. calling.

Because the information in this post is limited, it is unclear whether any fees are waived with the offer.

Overall, this actually seems like a pretty good deal if you can get it. Currently, the plan is way cheaper than what the rest of the Big Three carriers (Telus, Rogers) have advertised by a long shot, as even on Bell’s website, the 175GB plan is listed at $85/mo across the board.

Unfortunately, your mileage may vary with this one — good luck to the deal hunters out there.
