OxygenOS 3.1.0 update secures OnePlus 2 against Quadrooter exploit

OnePlus 2

Canadian OnePlus 2 owners will want to be on the look out for the latest OxygenOS update, version 3.1.0, which just started rolling out to OP2 users around the world.

While light on new features, the update fixes a number of bugs and functionality quicks. Here’s the full list of changes, straight from OnePlus.

  • Fixed some notification issues
  • Improved Doze Mode performance
  • Added media sound toggle for alert slider
  • Addressed alert slider/silent mode issue
  • Implemented August 1 security patches for Android
  • Implemented Quadrooter patch
  • General bug fixes

Reading through the OnePlus forums, most OP2 owners are upset the update doesn’t add full VoLTE functionality to the smartphone.

As with most OxygenOS updates, this one is rolling out incrementally, so be patient while you wait for it to land on your smartphone.

Correction: An earlier version of this article mistakenly said the update was rolling out on the OnePlus 3. Apologies for the confusion.
