As promised, OnePlus will release a gold variant of its newest “flagship killer” in the coming days.
On Twitter, OnePlus notes the OnePlus 3 “Soft Gold” edition will officially be available to purchase on July 26th, but only for those in the United States. In terms of a Canadian release, the order date for the limited edition 5.5-inch device will be a few days later on August 1st at 6:00 a.m. EST, which is a holiday for most people in Canada. The cost will be the same at $519 CAD unlocked.
“This isn’t your typical gaudy gold smartphone. We’ve toned the colour down for a light, elegant look. To complement this more low-profile take on gold, we went with a subtle texture reminiscent of holding fine, silky-soft sand,” says OnePlus in a blog post.
