Amazon Prime Day is happening July 12

Amazon is back with its now annual “Prime Day.” Following up on its promise to bring Canadians “more deals than Black Friday,” Amazon will have a massive 1-day sale on several products on July 12th.

Prime Day is exclusively reserved for Amazon Prime members in Canada, U.S., U.K., Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, and Austria. Last year, Prime members around the world ordered 398 items per second, but the tech deals for Canadians were lackluster. The top products were Huggies Diapers, Kindle, Instant Pot Programmable Pressure Cooker, Linke Apple MFI Lightning USB Cable, and the Sennheiser RS170 digital wireless headphones.

This year, Amazon stated the deals will be plenty and happen every hour with the festivities starting at midnight PT on the 12th. Apparently, laptops will be a big hit this year.

“Prime Day is a unique opportunity to discover new items and great deals, on top of our already low prices. Following last year’s record sales, we have dramatically increased the inventory behind many deals. In fact, in Canada we have more than 3x the laptop units compared to Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined,” said Greg Greeley, Vice President, Amazon Prime. “Even with this massive selection, we know many of the Prime Day offers will sell out, so members should join Prime on or before July 12.”
