App of the Week: Get golf game strong with GolfLogix

If you’re already daydreaming about hitting the links at your workplace during lunch, why not take it one step further and use the GolfLogix app to play a virtual practice round of your nearby course before you even head there?

Then, when you get there, you can continue to use the app for distances and mapping, as well as keeping score of up to four people.

GolfLogix, produced by a golf-specific GPS company of the same name, is jam-packed with features for the avid golfer, promising accurate GPS distances for any golf course in the world, tools for tracking scores and statistics, and nearby tee times and course discounts.

In addition, there’s a library of Golf Digest tips for when you’re stuck in a rut, and a section of golf jokes – told by a man with an Irish accent, no less – for when you want to liven things up.

The app is available for iOS and Android for free, as well as the Apple Watch, where rounds and stats are tracked and displayed in a dashboard.

There’s also an ad-free premium version available for $4.99 monthly, or $29.99 yearly, that gives users access to GPS-powered pin, hazard and layup positions and club tracking software.
